Protrait Of A Ceramcist
Pottery is earth, shaped by water and air, born of fire. Spirited into new forms by artisan hands.
The achingly simple philosophy of a potter called Syrk in many ways mirrors what I find so appealing about the Portuguese ceramic elements now on our shelves.
Our Portuguese tableware
collections take their inspiration from the white sands and acquamarine waters of salty, sensual Portugal.
Each piece is hand made and glazed by artisan ceramicists at an established studio in Castanheira. A rustic expression of the potter’s craft.
Old school has come full circle.
Have a look at the film. The potter’s studio is a real creative sanctuary.
